Must be afraid to use seasoning, found it to be very bland. Chicken livers, and roast beef sandwich, potato salad and mashed potatoes. Portions were large, but truly lacking in seasoning. The onion rings were really homemade, but had a sweet taste. The hush puppies were tasteless. Service was adequate and friendly. The apple pie and coffee were excellent. Maybe breakfast would be better since salting eggs and grits after cooking works ok, but most foods need seasoned before and during preparation. Loved the guitars on the wall.
Good home cooked food. Breakfast good, see lot of our friends there, for any meal we eat there.

My husband and I love this place, and Marie is our favorite server. She is polite and she remembers everything. We don't need to remind her what we need as a dressing or our Texas Pete.
One of very few places I have ever given 5 stars. In my opinion they have the best food in Roanoke Rapids and have great prices. Especially if you go with the daily specials. I recommend the turkey club but I have never had anything from here that was disappointing.
